Zelle® Account Required For Bidding
We now require that bidders place a $25 Zelle® BIDPASS deposit with us to activate their login for bidding.
A BIDPASS allows you to bid in all current auctions. It expires and your deposit is sent back when all current auctions end.
Runner-up bidders will know our auctions have ended when their Zelle® BIDPASS deposit is sent back to them.
You must register and send a Zelle® BIDPASS deposit even if you have bid in previous Treasure Hunt Auctions. We don’t keep your information.
You may cancel your registration anytime before placing a bid. Notify the Auctioneer by replying to your BIDPASS email and your Zelle® deposit will be sent back to you right away.
We chose Zelle® to use for our BIDPASS system because it agrees with our “No Fees” policy.
No Auction Fees
We run a fair deal and expect bidders to deal fairly with us:
▪ No Reserves
▪ No Buyer’s Premiums
▪ No Fees Of Any Kind
No Shipping
We expect auction items to be removed without staff assistance.
Winners most often can pick up their item a day or two later.
Item removal requirements for each auction are always posted at the point of bidding.
Any other arrangements must be agreed to beforehand by calling 949-735-9084.
Sales Tax
▪ Autos: All taxes will be paid to the DMV at registration
▪ Other: Local sales tax will be added to your winning bid
Forfeitures
Winning bids are not official until full payment has been accepted. A notice will be posted online when the auction results become final.
Second-place bidders should be prepared to become the winner if the highest bidder forfeits for any reason, and so forth.
No Returns / No Refunds
As with all items sold at our estate sales:
▪ All sales are final with no returns or exchanges
▪ All items are sold as-is without warranty
Attendance and Payments
Each online Treasure Hunt auction is part of an in-person Treasure Hunt estate sale, and sometimes we require that winning bidders be present at the estate sale when that auction ends to remove their item that day.
Most often we accept Zelle® or other same-as-cash payments by phone from off-site winners at the close of auction and allow items to be picked up a day or two later.
Attendance and payment requirements for each auction are always posted at the point of bidding.
The addresses of our estate sales are not made public online until 3-hours prior to opening. However, we offer private viewings of auction items to serious bidders by appointment only. Send a text to Andrea at 949-735-9084 to schedule.

Bidders
Our auctions are open to everyone willing to follow our rules and place a $25 Zelle® BIDPASS deposit with us during bidding.
Each BIDPASS is only valid for currently active auctions and your deposit is sent back to you when all bidding ends.
Bidders will receive emails:
▪ When their BIDPASS is activated
▪ confirming their bids
▪ if their maximum bid is Outbid
▪ upon Winning the auction
▪ When their expired BIDPASS Zelle® deposit is sent back
Registered non-bidders receive only BIDPASS email alerts.
Bidding
These are automated, eBay-style auctions, so you may enter a maximum bid. When you do, your entry bid will be the least amount necessary to become the leading bidder, and will be automatically incremented as necessary by new bidding until your maximum is outbid or it becomes the winning bid.
You may increase your maximum bid anytime you wish.
Minimum bid increases are $100 unless posted otherwise at the point of bidding.
Bids cannot be withdrawn.
Examples:
▪ You place a maximum bid of $15,000 on a car with a current bid of $11,100. Your entry bid would be $11,200 and if other bidding continues up to $12,500 your winning bid would be $12,600 at the end of the auction.
▪ You bid $6,000 on an item with a $5,000 starting bid. If there is no other bidding, your winning bid would be $5,000.
Tie Bids
Whenever two bids are placed for the same amount, the earlier bid will be given priority.
If the earlier bidder forfeits for any reason, the latter bid will then be accepted.
Example:
▪ You place a maximum bid of $3,300 on a car with a current bid of $3,200. Your bid is then replaced by a different $3,300 bid. This is because the other bidder placed an earlier $3,300 maximum bid originally, and tie bids are accepted in the order they are received.
As mentioned earlier, your tie bid would become the winning bid if the earlier bidder forfeits for any reason.
