Description

Beautiful 1930 Ford Model A Phaeton 4-seater convertible.

This Model A is mostly complete and original. It comes with a flat four cylinder engine and 3 speed transmission. It is not currently running.

The body of the car is in excellent condition with only minor surface rust. No major rust holes or damage on the body or frame, just light oxidation on the primed metal surfaces.

The undercarriage/frame is also in excellent condition. It has a clean coat of black paint and looks like it has either been maintained perfectly or was completely restored at some time. This includes the drivetrain, suspension and brakes.

The engine looks to be mostly complete and looks like it was freshly painted before sitting in storage. It is missing the updraft carburetor (which we have in a box of parts) and a few other small pieces. Unsure if it turns over. Transmission seems to move freely.

We were able to roll the car around with no problem. Despite being rotten from sitting for years with no air. the tires still hold air so it can be moved.

Several chrome and small fixtures like internal door handles are missing. We have included 3 of the 4 exterior door handles, and a very rusty folding top mechanism.

We also found the instrument cluster, speedometer and fuel gauges along with other small parts and pieces. The seats are original and in rough shape but could be restored.

All in all this is an excellent car for anyone serious about doing either a complete original restoration or a resto mod. While it does need some small parts and pieces, it is otherwise very complete and very clean and would be a perfect starting point for a long term project.

We encourage you to see it in person! Text 949-735-9084 to see it prior to the estate sale.

Winning bidders are normally expected to be present when the auction ends, but for this auction the winning bidder may pay using Zelle or a debit card by phone. They will also have until Sunday, September 3rd to take delivery.
